The main change with the new system is that exports will be submitted to the Swedish Customs Agency in three steps, with Collicare Logistics AB handling the first step — the export declaration itself. Steps 2 and 3 of the new export procedure will vary slightly depending on the mode of transport.
For road transport to Norway, the change will not be very significant. The critical aspects will be the barcode and the MRN number on the export declaration. These need to be presented at the border customs office, where steps 2 and 3 will be completed. If the Norwegian Digitoll system is used, steps 2 and 3 will be submitted through Digitoll.
For other third countries, the process will likely function similarly for road transport. Regarding sea, rail, and air transport, the Swedish Customs Agency has not set any rules on who is responsible for steps 2 and 3. Therefore, it will be up to businesses, together with their partners, to agree on who will handle which part.
With this information, we want to make you aware of the importance of ensuring, together with your customers, carriers, or forwarders, who is responsible for completing all steps to carry out the export procedure correctly.
Best regards,
ColliCare Logistics AB
